1. Concept & Intentions
Harmonia Mentis is a digital platform by Angelini Pharma supporting healthcare professionals working in mental health. The goal was to evolve an existing platform into an information architecture able to scale across multiple countries, serving different medical specialties with relevant, personalized content — without overwhelming any single user group.
2. Research & Approach
I facilitated remote co-design workshops with stakeholders from eight markets (Italy, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Portugal, Turkey, Russia), gathering input on how the platform was actually used — and by whom — across very different healthcare contexts. The workshops helped identify the platform's real target users — psychiatrists, GPs, neurologists, and young doctors — and map their distinct activities, needs, and pain points. This clarified that a single generic structure couldn't serve all of them equally well, and that content needed to be organized and personalized around each specialty's priorities.
Based on these insights, I redesigned the information architecture around six new sections (Patient Stories, Key Events, Disease Area, Product, Personal Area, Contacts) and mapped the core navigation flows to reflect how each user group would actually move through the content.

3. Design & Testing
I built wireframes for the new structure and a content-personalization feature, then developed a modular Design System using Atomic Design to keep the platform visually and structurally consistent as it scaled across markets.


4. Testing
To validate the proposed solution, I ran moderated usability testing on a high-fidelity prototype with three healthcare professionals — a GP, a psychiatrist, and a pediatrician. Participants first explored the homepage freely using a think-aloud approach, then completed three tasks: bookmarking a case study, registering for an event, and using the content-personalization tool, while I measured completion rate, time, and number of clicks for each.
Users quickly understood the overall navigation structure, and event registration was completed successfully by everyone. The personalization tool was perceived as genuinely valuable and relevant to their day-to-day work, though some secondary actions needed greater visual emphasis to be more discoverable. Overall, the testing phase validated the majority of the design decisions made during discovery and planning.
