1. Concept & Intentions

E-moving is the electric mobility service developed by A2A to help users locate charging stations, manage charging sessions, and support their daily EV journeys. The project focused on improving the usability of the mobile app through a complete UX audit, the redesign of key user flows, and the introduction of new features aimed at simplifying the charging experience.

2. Research & Approach

We conducted a comprehensive UX audit of the existing app, reviewing user flows, navigation patterns, and interface components to identify usability issues, inconsistencies, and friction points affecting key tasks — registration, station discovery, and charging management. This included user flow mapping, navigation analysis, heuristic evaluation, and an interaction review.

The analysis highlighted several recurring usability issues affecting both comprehension and task completion.

Key findings

The UX audit identified six recurring usability issues affecting navigation, charging station discovery, and charging management. Each finding was mapped to the UX principle it impacted, helping the team prioritize the redesign and focus on the areas with the greatest usability impact.

These findings directly informed the redesign of the navigation structure, charging station map, station detail page, and system feedback patterns across the app.

4. Outcome

The redesigned experience addressed the main usability issues identified during the audit while improving overall consistency across the app. Before-and-after comparisons illustrate how information hierarchy, navigation, and interaction patterns evolved from the original interface to the proposed solution.
